SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE POLICY VALUES

he fundamental values on which the Foundation draws inspiration for its activity, and the principles mentioned in its Social Mission, are stated in the Ethics and Quality Policy. This policy is in line with the strategy adopted by the Foundation, which envisages the pursuit of sustainable development, preserving the central position of the interventions concerning Siena, its area and the typical fields of local development, by joining tradition and innovation with the involvement of every stakeholder. The Ethics and Quality Policy, known and supported by every member of our staff, has been edited starting from the following guiding principles or objectives:

 

  • The Foundation is directly and permanently committed to the dissemination of its own Ethics and Quality Policy and the pursuit of its success through the application of a Quality Management System (“QS”) to the activities and services of the Foundation itself, integrated with a Social Responsibility System;
  • The Foundation’s staff is fully and consciously involved, at all levels, in the implementation of the integrated Quality and Social Responsibility System and is properly trained and aware, in order to carry out its tasks;
  • Meeting customers’ and stakeholders’ needs, both internal and external, is a priority for the Foundation, that leads to a constant search for functionality, reliability, transparency and ethics in the system of projects evaluation and grants assignment. In detail, also paying particular attention to the ethical values that inspire the Foundation’s activity, the Foundation ensures the traceability of resources collection, assignment and management process, and the sharing of the decisions taken with local authorities, within the Foundation’s intervention areas, both implementing internal planning and allocating grants for third-party projects;
  • All Foundation’s processes are constantly monitored, in order to ensure a steady improvement of the integrated Quality and Social Responsibility System;
  • The appropriateness, efficiency, effectiveness and ethics of the integrated Quality and Social Responsibility System are constantly re-examined by the Foundation Management, so as to pursue a steady improvement of the performance of the System itself. The results of this re-examination are reported to the involved staff;
  • The implementation process of the integrated Quality and Social Responsibility System also involves, as far as possible, stakeholders external to the Foundation, suppliers and the area of Siena;
  • The Foundation, fully adhering to its social mission, considers it an overriding duty to participate in the building and the constant improvement of a system of ethic-sustainable balances of the socio-economic reality that interacts with the Foundation itself;
  • The Foundation maintains a code of conduct for its suppliers that is an integral part of its socially responsible policy.
